My last post on elders and their roles has prompted some exchange of comments that have driven me to begin to do more thorough research on church government from a biblical, historical and practical perspective. There is nothing like digging deep into Scriptures and examining one’s own pre-conceived idea of what a church is really like. Those of us who were part of a church (in some way) before we were even born inherited certain traditions. To do proper research I must gather the tools, identify my own biases and get to work. This could take some time…… but in the meantime on with my Titus blog.
