On October 15, 1932 Gladys Aylward sailed from Liverpool, England, for Asia in an effort to bring the gospel to China. In 1958, her biography, The Small Woman, was made into an award-winning film: Inn of Sixth Happiness.
Through a number of years I have met missionaries who have served in China with Overseas Missionary Fellowship (China Inland Mission). I had the joy of sitting in on an anniversary meeting of the Cheefoo school. Fascinating! The work of the gospel in that huge country has been a great God story!
We rejoice in the openings for God’s people to bring the gospel today to this needy country and are excited about the opportunities God has brought to us by bringing Chinese students directly to Canada to learn English, study in our post-secondary institutions, but most important of all to encounter the gospel of Jesus Christ.
