Heading to the Altar To Worship

Live Life! God's way

Worship is a blend of prayer and praise, isn’t it? As the Passover celebrants near the conclusion of this psalm they reflect this clearly in these words of worship –

“O LORD, save us;  O LORD, grant us success.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD.
From the house of the LORD we bless you.
The LORD is God, and he has made his light shine upon us.
With boughs in hand, join in the festal procession up to the horns of the altar.”  Psalm 118:25-27

If the LORD doesn’t save us, who will? If the LORD doesn’t grant us success, who will? True worshippers know it is futile to attempt to save ourselves!
